I am trying to build a better self, to move from survival mode to something more fulfilling. And resist turning this into a kitty blog.

Icky Sicky (Sunday Snippets)

I have no excuses. I've been avoiding the blog the same way I've been avoiding painting and socializing and exercising. BUT! Today! Today is yet another day. A day for climbing back on the horse or the wagon--depending on your riding skills--and gettin' to gettin' and whatnot.

Unfortunately I am also on day 4/5 (I was in denial on Wednesday) of a stupid cold/flu thing that's had me camping out in the livingroom with Kleenex and tea and my laptops and the kitty. So I don't have much interesting to say. Matt did the shopping this weekend, and I made sure the couch stayed put and Hulu and Netfix did their best. Heh.

On the up side, it is cheerful and sparkly here, being Christmas and all. And yes, we decorated the tree before Thanksgiving. But we waited until we got back to put out the additional little bits and bobs. Fun! And I think I'll be completely better by Monday morning. Finally.

being sick really does take more days than just the actual sick days. it takes the day or two of denial before you get sick and then the day or two after being sick to realize that things taste and smell again. By the time it's all over it's been a full week!
