I am trying to build a better self, to move from survival mode to something more fulfilling. And resist turning this into a kitty blog.

Busy and Blustery (Sunday Snippets)

My how the week has flown! I am sad to have neglected this poor blog, but it was just one of those weeks when I couldn't quite bring everything together. It has been a busy week, and the weekend was busy too, but it was busy with fun as well as chores. We had a nice stormy Saturday--the rain arrived Friday night as Matt and I were walking home from dinner.

Sunday Snippets 13 November

This weekend we enjoyed wrapping up San Diego Beer Week with a beer pairing dinner on Friday and a choose-by-aroma lunch on Sunday. In between we ran errands, baked a breakfast apple crisp for the upcoming week, prepared chicken stock, started our holiday preparations, and split a hand-rolled cigar and scotch on Saturday night. The perfect balance of restful and productive.

By now I hope you're playing along with Sunday Snippets, and I hope you're prepared to have a fantastic week!

I love your Sunday Snippets, and no, I haven't gotten my act together yet! I remember how thrilling rain was, since it was so rare! Have a great week!

Wow, a cigar! My mom's husband like cigars every now and then and I bought him some for Christmas. Now I get all these cigar catalogs. I hope I responded to your tweet, I can't remember. But, I went to the BYW forum and found your answer, most helpful! Thanks!

I don't actually like cigars very much, but we were at an event where a girl was rolling them in-house, so I took one and split it with my husband. Well, split half of it. I couldn't take too much. Heh.
